Originally known as the “Title Guarantee Block” and built in 1913, the nine-story Jewelry Trades Building has a light colored terra cotta exterior with ornamentation of the Renaissance period. Original interior finished in Italian marble, plate glass and oak. Floors three through nine were built to house upscale retailers, and were unique for a downtown building in 1913. All of the suites faced a wide corridor that was designed to resemble a street, and the walls were made entirely of marble and plate glass for each tenant to make a window display if desired.
