Location Description

thick snow; confier and deciduous trees; herd of elk moving away. From website: December-February is best for elk viewing. The wildlife area offers excellent year-round wildlife viewing. Deer and elk can be viewed at two feeding stations during the winter. Fishing is available at Pilcher Reservoir. A primitive camping area is located near the wildlife area headquarters.
