Camden Park House is Australia's oldest private residence continually occupied by one family. Historic interiors include a wood-panelled library. James & William, sons of John Macarthur, began construction of the house in 1832 and completed in 1835 a year after his death. The house stands on 960 acres of the original 5,000 acres granted to John Macarthur in 1805 and is still an operating dairy farm. Macarthur descendants occupy the private Camden Park House. The estate and gardens will next open for public visitation on 16th & 17th September 2023.
