Located next to the railroad tracks in Mansfield Depot, Thompson & Sons is a classic country store that could be a New England General Store or a Feed and Grain store in the Midwest. The store has been in operation since 1875 and features well stock shelves with a variety of goods, a deli and an old post office with the post office boxes and postmaster’s office. The shed and barn contain feed , grain and farm supplies. Mansfield depot is surrounded by farms, rolling hills and borders on the banks of the scenic Willimantic River. With nearby access to Interstate 84 it is easily reached from Hartford, Springfield, Worcester and Boston.
