Morven Park is a 1,000-acre historic property in Leesburg, Virginia (half wooded), once home to Maryland Governor Thomas Swann (1873-77) and Virginia Governor Westmoreland Davis (1918-22). With the mansion's origins around 1780, the final addition was made in 1901, and the house was lived in until 1942. Upon Davis' death, the property became a private foundation and now serves the Leesburg community as a park, a historic home for tours with three museums, an equestrian and athletic event complex, and a wedding and corporate rental venue. Morven Park is an ideal filming location, as it is easily blocked from public access with gates at both ends of the property, and sits within just twenty miles of Washington Dulles International Airport. Morven Park's stately mansion features several architectural styles, including Greek Revival and Italianate, and stands at 15,031 square feet. In addition to the mansion, there are several other historic buildings, including a 1901 Gate House, 1820 Smoke House, 1820 Coach House, and several others.
