Located at Twenty Mile Bend in western Palm Beach County, the historic 20 Mile Bend Bridge provides filmmakers with one of the region's most distinctive transportation landmarks. The bridge is a 1937 Warren through-truss swing bridge spanning the C-51 Canal along CR-880 (Canal Street). While originally constructed as a movable swing bridge, it now serves as a fixed crossing and remains one of the oldest surviving vehicular bridges in Palm Beach County.
The bridge's exposed steel framework, riveted construction, geometric truss patterns, and narrow roadway create a dramatic visual environment that can portray rural crossings, industrial infrastructure, historic transportation corridors, and isolated highway settings. Its architectural character is increasingly uncommon in South Florida and offers filmmakers a practical alternative to modern concrete bridge designs.
