Tulsa Botanic Garden has 170-acres and is located 8 miles northwest of downtown Tulsa in the rolling Osage Hills. Over 100 acres of natural prairie and Cross Timbers forest. Developed garden areas include the Tandy Floral Terraces, a 3 acre ornamental hillside garden with water features, Art Deco inspired hardscape, and 100,000+ tulips blooming in spring. Children's Discovery Garden includes the 15 ft. tall, one-of-a-kind Spring Giant, sculpted head with cave, prism and water feature. Other features include carnivorous plants, Spitting Animal fountains, Tree Fort with carved oak thrones, and 18 ft tall whirligigs of insects. Mabee Grange building offers modern look inspired from old barns, with interior end walls with vertical wood slate walls with boards curved to reveal LED light behind. Other buildings include small visitor center and green house.
