This park, locally referred to as "Rocket Park," for its notable rocket playground structure, consists of six acres, and sits right next to the Durant Middle School, albeit is not part of the school in any way. While the park is both next to the school and in the middle of town, there is mostly serenity and silence. There is paved parking, benches, grills, ADA Accessible restrooms, six lighted tennis courts, a basketball court, a 1/4 miles walking/jogging track, picnic and pavilion area, and playground equipment including swings, jungle gyms, slides and climbers.
