located on Swan Lake 6 Mile Estate was built in the 1930's as a retreat for Montana Power Company executive John Ryan. It was an opulent estate for its time in northwest Montana with maid, butler and grounds keepers lodging a tennis court and lake front homes. The Estate was remote so consisted of everything needed to operate it on the premises and consists of 11 buildings including a Lodge, 4 unique houses, wine cellar, barn, wood shop and 300 acres of forested land. A majority of the buildings are original and include much of the original furnishings.
