The new 8,000-square-foot playground adds three times more play space than its predecessor and is surrounded by new native butterfly-attracting plants and trees, as well as an existing large oak tree canopy. Play elements include slides with built-in rock panels, a climbing net, swings, spring riders, and musical instruments to play. The playground rests on an engineered wood-fiber play surface that blends into the natural landscape. There are also new park benches, litter receptacles, and bicycle racks, as well as revitalized walkways.
The 5.67-acre park also contains a basketball court, a fitness court, a multi-purpose field, a pedestrian walkway, and a parking lot.
