Baytown’s oldest park, Roseland Park is named after Rosa Kilgore who donated the land for a park. Roseland Park is a large space, located along Cedar Bayou with various facilities including boat and kayak launches. Roseland Park also has a playground and splash park, both with shade covers and room to run and play. The new Clubhouse at Roseland Park is available for event rentals. All events must be scheduled at least two weeks in advance. The park also contains sports facilities such as a backstop, a basketball court, and two sand volleyball courts. The entirety of the park is surrounded by a paved walkway for visitors to walk, run, or bike. The Roseland Park waterfront along Cedar Bayou is a popular spot for fishing in Baytown and the boat ramps and kayak launch provide easy access for getting out on the water.
