The oldest part of First Baptist Dates back to the 1820's, but there have been renovations as recently as 2003. The church is HUGE, taking up an entire city block, with a parking garage and entry way across the street and a crosswalk over the street. The Family Life Center includes a large weight room, gymnasium and overhead track, various exercise classrooms, and an indoor climbing wall. The church has a library and five floors of classrooms, as well as an entire pre-school wing with an indoor and outdoor playground. There's a cafeteria-style kitchen and several fellowship halls, the largest of which seats several thousand people and has a stage. The sanctuary holds thousands of people as well (5,000? maybe more?)
