Red Bluff is made up of colorful layers of sand, gravel, soil, and clay plunging 200 feet into a creek that empties into the river. The landscape around Red Bluff changes constantly; the road atop the bluff has been pushed back twice to accommodate the ever-widening canyon. Located in Morgantown, MS -- Marion County, Red Bluff is quite a natural phenomenon. Rising up 400 feet from the valley, Red Bluff is a 3-mile climb of winding road to the top of a peak where one can see over 30 miles away out into the Pearl River Valley.
