This Gothic style Sanctuary was erected in 1939 during World War 2, and is even more lovely than when it was first built. The space seats 200 comfortably on the main floor, and there is additional seating in our balcony for 65. We also have removable pews and chairs that can be placed in the Sanctuary to create seating for a maximum of 350 guests. Gorgeous stained glass windows, that were designed, produced and installed (1940-1948) by Henry Lee Willet of the Willett Studios in Philadelphia, line both walls and catch the sunlight beautifully. High ornate wooden ceilings, and beautiful slate floors are a few other show-stopping architectural pieces to mention. We have a wonderful Aeolian Skinner three-manual 36 rank organ as well as a Mason & Hamlin grand piano in the Sanctuary. Our Sanctuary can be seen in movies like the 2019 Paramount Pictures Film "What Men Want" (the wedding scene), the 2018 YouTube Original show "Champaign ILL" (S1, E1 - the funeral scene), and several other films and music videos.
