Location Description

Having the distinction of being the tallest structure in Butler, the Butler County Courthouse was built in 1885-1886. Of Gothic design, it was constructed of brick & sandstone. Its most eyecatching feature is a large clock tower; it also boasts stained glass windows, pyramid shaped roofs and a grand staircase. It is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
