Saint John's Episcopal Church was built c. 1905-1906 & was consecrated in October 1906. It was styled after a village church in Old England. Founded in 1898, Palmerton emerged as a borough due to its close proximity to anthracite coal, the Lehigh Canal and railroads. Today it is a charming town in Carbon County.
