Penn Nursery was established in 1908 on a potato patch in the Seven Mountains region of central Pennsylvania. The nursery produced seedlings to replant land denuded by the timber trade & forest fires. The nursery expanded & in the 1950's seedlings were grown to beautify Pennsylvania's highways. Today numerous species of trees & shrubs are grown for reforestation projects in the commonwealth's state parks & forests.
