Founded in 1840, and located on 1,300-acres in the northern panhandle, Bethany is a four-year private liberal arts college affiliated with the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ). About 850 students from virtually every religious community attend Bethany, representing 28 states, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, and nine countries.
