First Congregational Church Natick UCC, built in 1875, is a perfect example of High Victorian Gothic architecture in the middle of downtown Natick with its clock tower and distinctive copper-framed polychromatic steeple. The church stands at the crossroads of Main Street and Route 135 directly across from Natick Common. The front of the church with its patio and steps to the street, is commonly known as Natick’s Front Porch as it looks onto the village green. Most recently, First Church was seen in 2019’s KNIVES OUT that was filmed in nearby Wellesley as well as Natick. With a beautiful two-level dark wood sanctuary framed in stained glass windows, the brass pipe organ makes this a stunning example of a congregational church. Its complimentary North and South Rose Windows designed and crafted by famed Cambridge design studio La Farge, ornately stained-glass windows, radiate out to not only the public on the street but to the sanctuary itself.
