Built in 1914, the Gonzales Observatory was a weather station for 75 years and is now an historical landmark.
Gonzales Hill Regional Park spans 1.8 hectares and offers spectacular ocean views from its summit — the highest point (66 metres) on the south coast of Vancouver Island. The park features rocky outcrops, Garry oak meadows, and rare wildflowers, creating a uniquely beautiful natural landscape that reflects the region’s coastal ecosystem.
