Killarney Park is located on the south side of Lake Pupuke in Takapuna. The fresh water lake is heart-shaped (formed after an erupting volcano) and is a popular destination for those who enjoy water sport activities.
The PumpHouse theatre is located in the grounds of the park and was originally built in 1905 to supply fresh water to the local area. Now a Category II protected building, it has a theatre with three performance spaces, including an outdoor amphitheatre.
The French Rendez Vous restaurant is situated next door.
