The perfect post-apocalyptic location; Gunn Point Prison Farm was opened by the Northern Territory Government in 1973 to manage overcrowding at Fannie Bay Gaol. In March of 1996 the facility was closed down due to high operating costs, high utilisation rates and low out of cell hours for inmates. There are several buildings left but many have been vandlised.
