Built by the local lumber yard owner, circa 1912, Laws Way is a showcase of the finest building materials of the day. Oak flooring, paneling and molding, leaded windows, and large rooms create a spacious and inviting environment, and provide a perfect display for the Hosts' collection of art, scupture and crafts.
There are 4 spacious guestrooms on the second floor, each with a queen-sized bed , one featuring an ensuite and T.V. The large modern 4-piece bath is shared by the others. The cozy den with fire place offers a great reading spot in cool weather, and the large wrap-around veranda with screened-in lounge area is perfect for warm summer evenings.
Minnedosa is an easy 2-hour drive from Winnipeg and a mere half-hour from both Brandon and Clear Lake in Riding Mountain National Park.
Nestled in a valley at the junction of Highways 16 (Yellowhead) and Hwy 10, Minnedosa is a picturesque community, just minutes from Minnedosa Beach. A man-made lake, damming the waters of the Little Saskatchewan River, Minnedosa Beach offers a wide variety of water sports and activities including boating, skiing, fishing,kayaking,canoeing and swimming. The Beach area includes public campgrounds, picnic sites, playgrounds and plenty of open green spaces for sports and relaxation.
Minnedosa Country Club with Pro Shop and ClubHouse offers a very challenging 18-hole golf course and in winter, Minnedosa Ski Valley has nine distinctive runs available to all levels of expertise, for skiers and snowboarders, and offers rentals and instruction. There are also designated trails available for cross country skiing, hiking, cycling, and birdwatching.
