This former RAF base has a fine blend of WW1 & WW2 heritage and conservation. The site has a number of wartime artefacts including concrete pill boxes and sunken 'Tett' Gun Turrets. The park itself is an integral part of the Ingrebourne Valley which is rich in wildlife and includes marshland, lakes, open heath land and recreational areas.
