The George Washington University Hospital in Washington, D.C. opened a completely new hospital building in 2002. GW Hospital is perhaps best known for treating President Reagan after the assasination attempt on his life. Located just blocks from The White House and Capitol Hill, the hospital is often the first choice for Congressmen and Senators as well as tourists to the nation's Capitol. The building offers modern amenitites, advanced medical technology, larger labor and delivery rooms, hybrid operating rooms, cardiac catheterization laboratories, surgical robots, intraoperative neuronavigation. in close proximity to the hospital is the GWU Medical School, an outpatient physician groups, modern medical offices, a diagnostic imaging center and an outpatient surgery center.
