A lifetime working in the publishing trade gave us not only a passion for books, but an insight into what worked and what didn’t. We talked for a long time about starting our own business, but in fact when it eventually happened, it was all very fast. Jaffé and Neale book shop launched in 2006 in West Street, Chipping Norton. Our focus from the start was on good books and good customer service, and that hasn’t changed.
In 2011 we bought our current premises in the centre of Chipping Norton. The shop was big enough to realise the second part of our vision: a café which would form a bustling hub for the community; a place where people could meet and chat, surrounded by wonderful books.
