A museum in the old jail building across from the current jail, the building was built in 1906, was the home to the sheriff and family along with the inmates. It has the pioneer room, the Whetmore room, a barber shop, a lawyers office, antique kitchen, turn of the century dinning room, front parlor, a toy room, lots of vintage/ antique clothes, military items from civil war to desert storm, lots of early pictures of Allegan and surrounding area, Allegan sheriffs display of many of the earlier sheriffs.
