Throughout the 1950s, 60s, and early 70s, some of the most influential entertainers, athletes, and Civil Rights leaders visited, performed, and made history at the Hampton House, including Cannonball Adderley, Sam Cooke, Frank Sinatra, Nat King Cole, Marvin Gaye, Muhammed Ali, Jackie Robinson, Althea Gibson, Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., Malcolm X, and many more.
