Location Description

The Ellison House was built around 1860 and was home to several prominent Lockhart families over the years. The house was home to the Lockhart livery around the turn of the century where out of towners left the horse and buggy for a quick walk to downtown Lockhart. Walter Pieper lived here for many years and ran a gentlemen’s saloon on the square in the early 1900’s. The house is also surrounded by natural springs. The home boasts four spacious bedrooms - two rooms up the original wood staircase, one below - and a separate suite apartment on the opposite side of the house - complete with a private efficiency kitchen and living area. Each room has original casement locks with skeleton keys and a full ensuite bathroom. Towels, linens and soaps are provided. All the rooms have access to the porches and patios. Wireless Internet is included.
