Orlando, FL, 32801 US / FL
The Eola House was built by George Marsh in 1924. The style of the house is Mediterranean Revival that was popular in the boom years in Florida. The porch showcases twisted columns and stylized Corinthian capitals, as well as the decorative quatrefoil window over the entry. The house is constructed of clay tile block with a finish of rough stucco, and the current green concrete roof tiles are replacements for the original clay colored terra cotta barrel tiles. The welcome center features history about Orlando, local art, information on nearby points of interest and a gift shop. The house also has an upstairs balcony patio, two conference or meeting rooms and a bride’s room, said a news release.
