Location Description

The Somerset County Courthouse errected between 1904 & 1906 is a Classical Revival building complete with a copper dome. The interior features an Italian marble staircase that rises in three directions and a stained glass rotunda. The dome rises to 135 feet with a total building elevation of 2190 feet making it the highest county seat in Pennsylvania.
