The York Heritage Rail Trail County Park was established in 1992, spans 176 acres and is 21 miles long. Geographically it runs north from the Mason-Dixon line just south of the Borough of New Freedom through Glen Rock, Hanover Junction, Seven Valleys and the Colonial Courthouse in the city of York. In addition to the Colonial Courthouse, three historic structures are located along the trail: Hanover Junction, New Freedom Train Station and the Howard Tunnel. The railway is operational.
