museum in historic trading post which served as the center for the Eastern Oregon Chinese community until the 1940s; built in 1887 to serve as a stocking up place for the large population of Chinese and American miners, the museum has historic eastern and western goods as well as an herbal medicine clinic and a small shrine; a very neat mix of historic eastern and western goods; plain stone and wood exterior; open to the public May through October
