The Atlas Performing Arts Center brings people together through the arts to create, connect and engage through compelling performances, events and initiatives spanning a range of artistic expressions, traditions and cultures. The Atlas is where the arts, culture and connection happen on H Street. About Atlas Performing Arts Center Located in the heart of Washington DC’s historic and thriving H Street NE neighborhood, the Atlas is a uniquely restored 1930’s art deco movie theatre that holds a special place in the hearts and minds of many people throughout the DMV. The Atlas Theatre was fully restored as the Atlas Performing Arts Center in 2006 as a 59,000 square foot performing arts center. The Atlas has four performance venues: • The Lang Theatre – a 258 fixed-seat theatre space • The Sprenger Theatre – a large flex-seat theatre space that seats up to 196 (depending on seating configuration) • Lab II – a small, flex-seat black box theatre space that seats up to 80 • Lab I – a small, black box theatre space that seats up to 60 All four performance venues can be rented for performances and/or rehearsals. RENTAL AMENITIES • Top notch guidance and support from our arts management staff • Onsite production management liaison during your rental dates • Online ticketing through our Patron Manager technology service • Box Office staffing support throughout the entire ticketing sales process • Box Office sales reports to track your progress • Marketing support through our weekly e-newsletters (to over 24,000 and growing) • Social media posting • Poster in our poster box frames under the marquee, based on availability • Marquee signage placement, based on availability • House management and ushering staff for your show • Box Office sales staffing during your show • Cafe is available for your patrons and cast to purchase snacks and beverages • Lockable dressing room(s) during tech rehearsals and shows. Number of rooms available is dependent on cast size and other renters in our theaters. • Full color playbill to insert your program into for each performance With spacious venues available year-round to host galas, weddings, memorial services, meetings, conferences, theme parties, birthdays, luncheons, dinners, seminars and fundraisers, the Atlas has a variety of spaces that can be transformed into whatever you can imagine. Venues can be scheduled for combined usage depending upon availability. The Lang Theatre – a 258 fixed-seat theatre space The Sprenger Theatre – a flexible theatre space that can seat up to 180 or 280 standing Lab II – a small black box theatre space that seats up to 79 or 100 standing Lab I – a small black box theatre space that seats up to 60 or 90 standing Great Hall (Kogod Lobby + Cafritz Promenade) – an open space that can handle events for up to 300 guests (standing room) AMENITIES -Top notch guidance and support from our arts management staff -Onsite production management liaison during your rental date(s) -Marquee and poster signage placement, based on availability -Event manager and technical crew as needed -Lockable dressing room(s) during rehearsals and events. Number of rooms available is dependent on party size and availibility. -Assisted listening devices in all four theater spaces. RENT THE ATLAS FOR REHEARSALS Located in the heart of Washington DC’s historic and thriving H Street NE neighborhood, the Atlas is a uniquely restored 1930’s art deco movie theatre that holds a special place in the hearts and minds of many people throughout the DMV. The Atlas Theatre was fully restored as the Atlas Performing Arts Center in 2006. Our Lab 1 and Lab 2 spaces are ideal for small rehearsals.
