Curzon Hall

AU / New South Wales
Listed By: Create NSW
Location ID: #073-10082156
Curzon Hall was built in 1893 as a private residence for a Sydney businessman, Harry Smith, and his wife Isabella Curzon Webb, a family member of Lord Curzon, viceroy of India at that time. In 1922 Curzon Hall was purchased by the Vincentian Fathers to be used as a seminary. During their occupancy, a beautiful chapel was built adjacent to the mansion. The chapel features an ornate ceiling, which was completed in 1930. In 1983 the management of the property was taken over by a private consortium, and the place is now run as a venue for weddings, conferences and corporate functions. It sits in 3 acres of gardens, and has 6 function rooms and a restaurant. It has just undergone internal reburbishments. Click here for additional info.
