Located in the middle of Sydney Harbour, adjacent to the Opera House, Fort Denison forms part of Sydney Harbour National Park. The fort was built in 1841 and has been used for a variety of purposes - a fishing spot, defence structure, navigational guide, tide gauge station, weather station, time marker and now a restaurant, event space, battery lawn and historic museum.
