Kempsey, NSW, 2440 AU / NSW
Netherby House is a magnificent Federation style mansion on the Banks of the Macleay River in the heart of Kempsey midway between Brisbane and Sydney. It is now used as a guest house. Originally built - circa 1922 - as a family home, this sprawling, red mahogany Federation house has been renovated well by its current owners. Great care has been taken to preserve the architecture and special features of this home. Its aristocratic credentials include extensive cedar panelling, tallowwood floors, rosewood cupboards and ornate plaster ceilings. They have been enhanced with antiques, crystal, and silverware. Netherby House has three alfresco dining areas by the river.
