The main building of Carrington Centennial Hospital is a grand stone building, two stories plus a bell tower. Built in 1889, the hospital resembles a Colonial manor and estate, set on grassy, gardened grounds. The hospital began as a convalescent hospital, and has provided aged care for the last 30 years. The site contains a 94 bed high care nursing home, two hostels totalling 124 beds, as well as a retirement village with self care units.
