Woolloomooloo, NSW, 2011 AU / NSW
Woolloomooloo's famous Finger Wharf (a wharf that juts out into the water) is so vast that it is home not only to a major hotel but also to restaurants, offices, a marina and a glitzy apartment complex. This former working wharf has been restored and has retained essential features of the original wharf (built between 1905-22), preserving an icon of Sydney's colourful maritime history.
