Antigonish Rowing Club (ARC) sits on beautiful Lochaber Lake in Lochaber, Nova Scotia located minutes outside of the town of Antigonish (two hours from the capital city of Halifax). Since Antigonish Rowing Club was founded in 2005 it has grown into a rowing hub in Antigonish County. Antigonish Rowing Club has worked tirelessly to gain the support and funds required to install a fully buoyed albino 2000m race course, the only one east of Quebec. This course has allowed ARC to host National and International rowing regattas on a regular basis. Antigonish Rowing Club is home to the St. Francis Xavier (St. FX) Rowing Club. St. FX Rowing Club is a member of the Canadian University Rowing Association (CURA) and competes in the Atlantic Rowing Championships and Nationally every year. Most recently St. FX Rowing Club and Antigonish Rowing Club with support from Row Nova Scotia hosted the 2016 Canadian University Rowing Championships (CURC) on Loachaber Lake.
