Striking granite chapel with slate roof, located at the entrance to Yarmouth Mountain Cemetery. Given to the townsfolk of Yarmouth Nova Scotia by David Alexander Ritchie. The double red doors have served as a backdrop for many wedding, graduation and prom pictures. Built in 1921-1923, the chapel seats 84 persons on the chapel level and 12-16 persons in the balcony. The chapel hosts weddings, concerts and memorial services. The Electronic Carillon chimes the quarter hour during the day and can be programmed to play music of the season.
