Location Description

St. Marguerite’s Retreat House, styled after an English Manor House, was built in 1908 as a home and school for girls. The building has been used as a retreat house since 1960. The Convent was constructed in 1913 in a French Normandy Chateau Revival Style with Arts and Crafts Elements. Situated on over 85 acres of wooded land adjacent to the Schiff Nature Preserve in historic Mendham, NJ, located 36 miles east of New York City and 80 miles southwest of Philadelphia. Easily accessible by train service from New York Penn Station to Morristown.
