Location Description

Established in 1916, Stephen R. Gregg Park maximizes its nearly 100 acres of parkland in Bayonne by integrating active and passive recreation along the waterfront. Ball fields, tennis courts, basketball courts, bocce courts, horseshoe pits, and a running track are featured throughout the park for exercise and for play. Its tranquil passive sections are inviting locations to relax and enjoy the greenery and Newark Bay waterfront. Situated in Bayonne on the East bank of Newark Bay, the park offers a dramatic waterfront view along its half-mile promenade that wouldn’t want to miss! Walk, jog, or relax along the water’s edge and enjoy the Bay’s sights and cool breeze. Fishermen can even cast off of the 48th Street Bay front at the gazebo fishing pier. Within the park, you can enjoy a stroll along the park’s network of walkways and park bridges along the pond, cherry blossom trees, and gorgeous ornamental garden. The park draws visitors to its picturesque backdrops along the stone structures and gazebo.
