Sydenham Hill Wood is located close to the Norwood Ridge. It consists of 9 hectares, and is a local nature reserve. Surrounded by brambles and ivy, a ruined monastery sits in the middle of these woods. There is also a footpath that follows the old track of the railway and a small footbridge crossing over the remains of the tracks. More unique features include wood sculptures by local artists and ponds containing an array of wildlife.
