Carey Institute - 100-Acre Estate in the Catskills

US / New York
Listed By: Tina Stannard
Location ID: #999-18572
Situated on the edge of the village of Rensselaerville, the Carey Institute offers a 100-acre historic country estate bordered by private woods and the Edmund Niles Huyck Preserve. The estate features several beautifully restored turn-of-the-century homes and scenic views of the Catskill Mountains. The grounds and surrounding area provide a wealth of cinematic opportunities in every season, making our campus the perfect home base for a multi-day shoot. Rensselaerville was settled in 1787. Main Street is home to dozens of historic homes, 19th-century churches, and one of Albany County’s first public libraries (1798). The Rensselaerville Historic District was placed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1983. Our campus offers a wide range of guest rooms and suites in its four residences, accommodating up to 100 guests with 53 rooms and 78 beds. Buildings also feature built-in kitchenettes, meeting spaces, business centers, high-speed Wi-Fi, lounges, and garden spaces for quiet enjoyment. In addition, you can relax at the end of the day at our private brewery! [TAGS: Edwardian, cottages, rural, weddings, deer, conference, bar, craft brewery, country road, estate]
